From the award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Seussical, Anastasia), Theo welcomes audiences to explore why we tell the story.

The Olivier Award-winning Once On This Island follows Ti Moune, a peasant girl, as she rescues Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of the island, and their love sparks a high-stakes divide with the gods. So begins a thought-provoking heroine’s journey of class and racial divide, joy, sorrow, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

Adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid and Rosa Guy’s novel My Love, My Love, this family-friendly bounteous musical celebration stands tall honoring the ways storytelling preserves culture, hope, love, and resilience.
