Driving and Parking
Theo is four miles east of I-94 from the Touhy Exit then Skokie Blvd to Howard Street
From Lake Shore Drive take the Sheridan Road Exit then a left turn on Howard Street
- The City of Evanston operates a parking lot next to Theo that can only be paid for by using the Park Evanston mobile app. There is no pay station for this parking lot.
- North side of Howard Street (and nearby side streets): City of Evanston parking; can be paid for at pay stations or the Park Evanston mobile app.
- South side of Howard Street (and nearby side streets) City of Chicago parking; can be paid for at pay stations or the Park Chicago mobile app.
- Gateway Parking Garage is a public parking garage that is a 15 minute walk from the theatre. The parking entrance is located at 7474 North Rogers, Chicago, IL 60626.
CTA and Metra
Theo is located just three blocks west of the Howard Street CTA stop
The Rogers Park Metra station on the Union Pacific North Line is one mile south of the theatre
Travel north on Clark Street then west on Howard Street
Add-on Dinner
Arrive early and enjoy dinner before each of our subscription series productions! Add a 3-course prix fixe meal when you purchase your tickets for just $30; check out each production’s show page for specific menus. Please ensure you contact the box office at the time of purchase to request the vegetarian option, if necessary. (Drinks & gratuity not included, must be reserved 1 week in advance.) Dinner service commences 90 minutes prior to showtime.
Rush Ticket Policy
Theo offers rush tickets for all performances (subject to availability).
Day-Of: Rush tickets for the day of the show are available exclusively on the TodayTix app. (Price varies.)
In-Person: 1 hour prior to each show, rush tickets are $20 cash only, to be purchased in-person only at the Theatre. Must ask for rush ticket pricing at the time of purchase.
Where To Sit
While the configurations can change with each production, Theo Ubique always provides an intimate cabaret experience with seating in three sections. Bar seats swivel for a full view of the performance, riser seats are a step up on both stage right and left. There are some chairs at floor level as well. Table seats are generally shared four tops also at floor level.
The house opens for seating ninety minutes before showtime and patrons are always encouraged to arrive early to have a drink.

About Our Restrooms
Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre commits to providing accessible and all-gender restrooms as an important way to show full access and inclusion. We believe that everyone benefits from accessible (ADA compliant) and all-gender restrooms including, but not limited to, transgender and gender diverse individuals, people with a disability, parents/caregivers whose children are a different gender from them, and people with caregivers who are a different gender from them.
Mask Policy
Theo is no longer requiring masking for audiences at our performances but it is strongly recommended. We support any individual’s choice to mask! If you are not feeling well, are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, or have had or been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 10 days, you should not attend a show. If you are unable to attend a performance due to these reasons, please contact Theo’s box office to discuss rescheduling. All patrons understand that there is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. Those purchasing tickets and attending Theo productions and events voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 exposure.
